bse-alsa software package provides ALSA plugin for BEAST, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install bse-alsa
bse-alsa is installed in your system.
Make ensure the bse-alsa package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep bse-alsa *
You will get with bse-alsa package name, version, architecture and description in a table
